WynnBET is a mobile sports betting app that targets players in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Virginia. It is owned by Wynn Resorts, the Las Vegas-based casino resort business founded by Steve Wynn. Wynn purchased a European social sports betting business called BetBull in 2020, giving it in-house operational expertise, and it then launched WynnBET under a new division called Wynn Interactive.

The brand has not yet been able to establish itself as one of the leading lights in the US sports betting industry, as it lags behind the likes of FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM. WynnBET Bonuses

The welcome bonus at WynnBET is a risk-free bet worth up to $1,000. You can claim this offer by signing up for an account and depositing a minimum of $20. You must then place a bet at odds of -150 or longer. If your bet wins, you keep the cash. If it loses, you get a 100% refund, which is paid in site credit.

This offer is identical to the risk-free bet bonuses offered by FanDuel and BetMGM. Your free bet credit comes with a 1x playthrough requirement. Any winnings you earn after playing it through are paid in cash, but the token is not included. For example, if you receive a $50 free bet token and place a successful wager at odds of +120 with it, you will be given $60 in profit, but the $50 stake is not returned. For that reason, you must place a successful bet at odds of at least +100 to break even and recoup your initial deposit.

WynnBET issues the free bet credit within 72 hours of your first bet being settled as a loser. You then have 10 days in which to complete the playthrough requirement. If you do not use it in time, the free bet credit will be forfeited. You cannot use the bonus funds on wagers with boosted odds, or wagers that are cashed out early. If your free bet results in a push, you will be given another free bet, allowing you to have another crack at landing a winner.

WynnBET Promotions

When it launched, WynnBET offered a wide array of promotions in an effort to compete with established rivals. The bonuses included “Free Bet Wednesday” and “WynnBET Win Hour”. However, WynnBET then decided to scale back its promotional spending after deciding it was unsustainable.

Matt Maddox, the outgoing chief executive, revealed that WynnBET was on track to lose around $200 million in the second half of 2021 due to new state launches, and said it would cut promo spend. “The market is really not sustainable right now,” said Maddox during an earnings call. “Competitors are spending too much to get customers. And the economics are just not something that we’re going to participate in. We are focused on building a long-term business that’s sustainable, that is not losing lots and lots of money. So we are shifting our strategy to think about the long term, and think about cash preservation.”

ROI-positive acquisition

Craig Billings, who replaced Maddox as chief executive, added: “There are certainly opportunities for us to do ROI-positive acquisition. It is really a question of scale. If you are not trying to drive headline market share with large-scale brand spend, performance spend, hyper-aggressive customer promos, there are absolutely opportunities to grow the business over the course of the longer term.”

Despite cutting the promotional budget, WynnBET customers can still join the Wynn Rewards loyalty program. You can earn points and trade them in for free bets and other rewards. You will start out as a “Red” member, and you can then progress to “Platinum” after placing enough wagers. Finally, you will reach “Black”, the top VIP tier, which comes with a wide array of perks.

It offers odds boosts on big games and sporting events too, along with boosts on certain pre-selected parlays. For example, when we wrote up this review of WynnBET, it had boosted odds of +723 on the Saints, Clippers, and Blazers all to cover on the same night, up from +629.

Deposit Options at WynnBET

WynnBET offers a small range of deposit options for you to choose from. It accepts Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, a VIP Preferred echeck, or a branded Play+ card. Rivals offer American Express, Discover, Neteller, Skrill, and PayNearMe as additional options, but WynnBET has gone with a smaller selection. The minimum deposit is $10. All deposits are instant and free. The maximum deposit varies according to the method selected.

Withdrawals at Operator

WynnBET processes payout requests within three to five working days. That is a lot slower than most other online sportsbooks, so you should look elsewhere if you want to receive your funds rapidly after making a withdrawal request. You will also have just three options: Play+, PayPal, or VIP Preferred. Cash at the casino cage is not available.

It would be great to see WynnBET broaden the selection of withdrawal options and to process payout requests quicker. Yet WynnBET is a trustworthy, reputable operator, and you will receive a secure payout after making your request and waiting for it to be processed.

WynnBET Sportsbook

WynnBET has gone for a basic sportsbook powered by Scientific Games’ OpenSports engine. Its blue and gold design is reminiscent of William Hill, but it covers far fewer sports. You can bet on football, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing, cycling, motorsports, soccer, golf, MMA, rugby, Aussie Rules, and tennis at WynnBET.

Rivals cover lots more sports, including table tennis, volleyball, athletics, lacrosse, handball, darts, snooker, pool, water polo, badminton, and winter sports, but WynnBET has gone for a more streamlined approach. That approach extends to its coverage of each sport too. We did not find odds on CFL games within the football section, for instance, as it only had betting on NFL and college football. Rival sites offer betting on basketball leagues across Europe, South America, and Asia Pacific, but WynnBET only covers NBA and NCAAB.

The soccer coverage is a lot broader, but WynnBET generally seems to be keen on a stripped-back approach. Yet it does cover NFL and NBA games in excellent detail. You tend to find around 150 betting options on an upcoming NFL or NBA game. That includes a variety of alternative spreads and totals, plus betting on each half or quarter, game props, and player props. There is a bet builder too, which allows you to compile same game parlays.

WynnBET offers standard juice lines, but it takes pretty large margins on some of its moneylines. The odds on prop bets and futures are average.

Live Betting at WynnBET

WynnBET offers live betting on football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, rugby and a couple of other sports. We found 139 in-play betting options on a soccer game taking place in the second tier of England, the Championship, and 59 betting options on a game in the Belgian First Division, which is impressive. It also had live betting on hockey in Finland and Russia, so the live betting section is quite thorough. It is very easy to browse too. WynnBET does not offer live streaming.

Sports Wagering Experience

The sports betting experience is very straightforward at WynnBET. It is a mobile operator first and foremost, and it does not even have a desktop site in some states. If you are in a state with the desktop site, you should find it easy to browse. Pages load quickly, as they do not contain a great deal of information, and navigation is sensible. There is an effective search option too, while the bet slip is user-friendly.

WynnBET would be a great option for beginners and anyone that wants to place wagers quickly and easily on the biggest sporting events each day. It has fewer advanced features than some of its rivals, and it will never overwhelm you with information.

Mobile App Review

WynnBET has a separate app for each state. You can find it on Google Play or the App Store. Just search for WynnBET and it will bring up the relevant app. It has not had many user reviews thus far in each state, but they tend to be three-star or four-star reviews. Users have recently complained about bugs, login problems, and location issues, so it may need to sort out these complaints in an upgrade.

We found the app to be clean and user-friendly when we tested it out. We could place bets quickly and easily, and the process of making deposits and withdrawals was simple. It is not the most polished mobile app on the market, but it is better than many of its competitors.

Other Betting Options

Wynn is a famous casino operator, so you would expect WynnBET to have a strong online casino. It certainly has an impressive selection of online slots from leading providers such as NetEnt, Scientific Games, and Big Time Gaming. There are high RTP slots, such as Blood Suckers, and lots of classic games like Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest.

It has a couple of famous jackpot games – Divine Fortune and Mercy of the Gods – along with a few Megaways titles. There are plenty of virtual blackjack and roulette variants, too, plus 13 video poker games, and baccarat, craps and virtual table poker.

However, there is not a specific live casino section, and you will only find a limited selection of live casino lobbies scattered about the site. It would be great to see WynnBET bolster its live casino section, as it is clearly a company that understands the appeal of playing against live dealers. There are some good bonus offers for online casino customers, including Game of the Week promotions, a 100% deposit match up to $1,000, and free spins.

Customer Service

WynnBET offers customer support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It does not offer phone support, which may disappoint some customers, but it is primarily targeting mobile users that will be accustomed to using live chat. If your query is not pressing, you can send an email, but the live chat option is quick and efficient. WynnBET also has a large FAQ section, which contains lots of useful information.

Security

WynnBET is a secure online sportsbook and casino brand. It has licenses to operate in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Virginia, and it works with the gaming commissions in those states to ensure a fair, safe gambling environment for its customers.

The site is protected by encryption software and a powerful firewall. You can also add strong, two-factor authentication(2FA) to add another layer of protection to your account. Just select a strong password and set up 2FA, and you will have no security concerns.

Conclusion

WynnBET is a good online sportsbook for beginners and anyone that wants to place bets quickly. It does not cover as many sports as many of its competitors, and it does not cover them as thoroughly. It provides fewer promotions than many rivals too, and the odds are average.

On the plus side, there is a strong loyalty program, 24/7 customer support, and excellent safety measures. If it fixes some of the glitches that mobile users have complained about, launches some interesting promos and broadens its sporting coverage, WynnBET could compete with the best sportsbooks in the country.
